Welcome to Wedding Island

Call it Wedding Island instead of Whidbey Island on Sunday, June 19.

On that date “Our Wedding Day,” will be presented at Hummingbird Farm, with sponsorship by area businesses as well as the Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce, Central Whidbey Chamber of Commerce and the Island County Economic Development Council.

From 1 to 4 p.m., the farm’s periwinkle barn and gardens will become a wedding showcase. This is Whidbey Island’s first “wedding biz resource faire,” and it will showcase over 30 local wedding vendors. The farm is located at the corner of Fort Nugent and Zylstra roads.

This event is free to all who want to be “wedding guests,” and is the perfect opportunity to see what only Whidbey Island can offer for planning your future weddings, anniversary celebrations, vow renewal ceremonies and even retirement parties.

The day will showcase the talented and professional wedding resource services of Aloha Danny, Amy’s Touch Suits, Bay City Bistro Catering, BeeMarie’s Cakes, Cookie Lee ~ Autumn Bellamy, Creative Creations, Dancin’ Dan’s Classic Ballroom, Deception Cafe & Catering, DJ’s Unlimited, Diamond Rentals, Double R Rentals & Sales, Fresh Flower Express, The Gallery Salon & Day Spa, Greenhouse Florist & Nursery, Hair by Renee, Island Video Productions, John Haynes -- Officiant, JW Desserts, Mary Kay -- Le Linder, Midway Florist, Moose Mobile Music, Pacific Party Canopies, Pendleton Imaging & Photography, Petals ‘n Twigs, Polka Dot Paperie, Renae’s Videography, Russell Chandler Photography, Sea Notes Big Band, The Seaside Spa & Salon, Serendipity Catering, Sooz Konopik -- Officiant and Wedding Coordinator, Stampin’ Up -- Rebecca Jung and Shannon Gilbert, Vail Studio Photography, and Whidbey Sea-Tac Shuttle.
