Renew a family’s hope by nominating them to receive a complete home makeover as ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” seeks to transform lives in Northwest Washington.

Each episode features a race against time as a team of designers, contractors and workers spends seven days completely rebuilding and remodeling a house for a deserving family.

“We’re looking for a different type of look and place,” said family casting associate Aaron Long about the decision to travel to Northwest Washington.

Bring Ty Pennington and his crew to Whidbey Island by nominating a deserving family for a life-altering home makeover.

“We are looking for inspirational families that America can really root for,” said casting director Quintin Strack in a news release.

The producers are searching for heroic families with compelling stories and houses that look like they might fall down around them.

“We want new and original stories of people who have given back to the community,” Long said.

To be eligible, a family must own their own single family home. A short description of their family story, major challenges within the home and why the family is deserving should be emailed to emhewashington@gmail.com. Nominations must also include names and ages of the household members, a contact phone number and if possible, a recent photo of the family.

The deadline for nominations is Aug. 8.
