Envision a new building for eye care
July 3, 2008 · Updated 5:23 PM
Whidbey Vision Care has opened in its brand new building at a new location in Oak Harbor.
The 3,800 square foot building at 380 Southeast Barrington Drive across from the post office offers clients comprehensive eye exams, a lens-making lab, contact lens fitting, designer eyewear and budget glasses all under one roof. The new office even has its own childrens waiting area stocked with toys and books.
Dr. Chris Gaustad, owner and optometrist of the new facility, says he is dedicated to professional care and hopes the new building will meet the optical needs for more of the community.
With a larger office we can better meet the needs of our clients, he said. Dr. Gaustad added that his 12 employees are excited about the new facilities and that the spacious offices will provide the ability to service more patients.
A Greater Oak Harbor Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony held Wednesday officially opened Whidbey Vision Care, giving the public a chance to join in the celebration.
Dr. Gaustad advises patients not to confuse the optometrist office inhabiting his old building on Highway 20 with the new Whidbey Vision Care.
