The Northwest Agriculture Business Center is accepting applications for positions on its board of directors.  A non-profit business development organization, NABC is looking for individuals engaged in agriculture and related fields who want to contribute to the development of the  organization, and will enhance its ability to improve economic vitality in its service area of Island, Whatcom, Skagit, Snohomish and San Juan counties.

Agriculture in Western Washington is under increasing economic pressure from real estate development, regulation and global competition. NABC contributes to the sustainability of agriculture by increasing the profitability of farm operations through implementation of value-added agricultural projects.

Interested parties should contact: Karen Bishop, board chair, at 678-4708 or email karen@whidbeycd.org.
