he January-February issue of Coastal Living, a tony magazine for people who love the coast, is quickly disappearing from local supermarket shelves.
Fans who read it by a cozy fire will get a jolt on page 118 sub-titled Romantic Retreats.
Scott Fraser, chef and owner Frasers Gourmet Hideaway on Dock Street, said getting a write-up in the beachy version of Town and Country is quite a coup.
I have no doubt Easterners will read this Coastal Living and find their way here someday, he said. I have a special table reserved for them.
Another coup is the four pages about Frasers in Northwest magazine. Writer Vince Hagel of Oak Harbor had sampled their wild boar and ostrich. His words are tender and delicious.
Jenn Dohners photos cast a golden glow and deserve to be in the Frasers foyer.
Scott and his wife Josee are thrilled to see Whidbey Island so prominently showcased.
Before you know it, Whidbey Island will be the West Coast version of Marthas Vineyard!
