Boy Scout Troop 53, sponsored by the Central Whidbey Lions Club, extends a big thank you to the residents of Whidbey Island for their incredible support of scouting on Whidbey Island and Troop 53 in the recent “Recycle Your Tree with Troop 53” fundraiser.

Troop 53 would also like to extend its sincere thanks to Island Asphalt, the Central Whidbey Lions Club, The Whidbey News-Times and Island Disposal, for trucks, time, space, and disposal contributions to a great fundraiser.

Without their help, this fundraiser would not be successful, and once again it was a resounding success! Donations raised will go to help defray the cost of summer camp and other scouting activities throughout the coming year.

Thank you so much to the residents of Whidbey Island for your continued support of Troop 53! You are awesome!

Kathy Marley

Scoutmaster, Troop 53
